Solitaire homewares was established in 2008 and is the work of husband and wife, Matt and Emma Bruty.
We come from a background in illustration, textiles and fashion.
Emma studied printed textiles and fashion at The University of the West of England and Matt studied illustration at Central Saint Martins.
This is where we both began our love of screen printing.

Our print designs are a collaboration of both our illustration styles and inspired by our individual and shared interests.
Emma has a particular passion for all things vintage, including fabric, children's book illustrations, toys, kitchen ware and craft books.
Matt loves being outdoors, gardening, birdwatching or photographing.

We run Solitaire as ecologically and ethically as we can using recycled, biodegradable and natural materials sourced in the UK where possible.

We're proud to have supplied some of the best establishments and shops in the UK including The V&A, Fenwicks, The Barbican, Wholefoods and Anthropologie as well as shops in Europe, Japan (including Paul Smith), Australia, the US and Canada.

Our work has also been featured in Vogue, Country Living, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Evening Standard, Grand designs and many more.
