April 2010 - Where have we been?
If you visited solitaireshop.com 5 weeks ago, you would have seen us showing off our baby girl, Florence. Then you would have seen a holding page saying we were temporarily closed down for personal reasons.
We are now open for business again and we just wanted to explain where we've been and take the opportunity to thank a few people.

On Florence's 3 week birthday she became very ill, very quickly. She was diagnosed with Strep B Meningitis and rushed to Great Ormond St into intensive care. over 4 weeks later, and with the help of all the amazing people in the NHS, Florence is now infection free and back home with us. The meningitis scarred her brain and she has been left with some lasting damage that will need on going care.

If it wasn't for Southend Hospital, CATS (The Children’s Acute Transport Service) and Great Ormond Street it is no exaggeration to say Florence wouldn't be with us now. We owe them everything and a small thank you on this page doesn't begin to express our gratitude. Keep an eye on the site for future products that will support these worthy charities.

December 2008 - Solitaire Fair at Tote, Japan
One of our lovely stockists in Japan, Tote, held a
Solitaire fair for the whole of December. They also
made some special biscuits and cakes for the event
in the style of our illustrations.
November 2008 - Paul Smith SPACE, Japan
Paul Smith Japan have ordered our tea towels which
will be available for Spring/Summer 2009.
